This evening there is good news!  Some of the lockdown restrictions are being lifted.  People will be able to go back to work, shops and restaurants can open. Motos will not be running for the time being, and schools won’t be opening until September. We can also travel the whole of our province, rather than being restricted by district, which gives a wider area for people to travel, and means I can go anywhere in Kigali.  This also means there’s the potential for us to have face to face meetings.  I feel excited at the possibility of being able to go out and meet people.  

I ask my landlady about the cross border drivers, and whether the increase in cases since last weekend is anything to be worried about.  She explains that the lorries would bring deliveries to a lorry park not far from where we live, and that the drivers and their assistant would stay with local families, and have passed the virus on to them.  Apparently whole families have been traced and are being isolated, and quite a few of them have contracted the virus.  I
